To the Manor Hovey Born

When you find a place you feel truly at home, stay there. And so we did. We were fortunate to get a one night reservation at the spectacular Manor Hovey, a location in several of Louise Penny’s books. It is featured in Penny’s A Rule Against Murder. Situated overlooking Lake Massawippi the hotel invites natural beauty inside every section of the property.

The hotel allows dogs in specific suites. Lucy and Ethel also enjoyed their brief taste of the high life, too.

Our evening concluded with an outdoor meal on the porch and visit to the taproom.

Then it was off to our room for a bath and pillowtown.

Alison says we are returning next year, for a longer stay.
